Hi everyone, as the title of this post says, today I’d like to show you what I got for my birthday to hopefully give you some present ideas if you need any.
This year I got ridiculously spoiled by my loved ones and got so many amazing presents I didn’t deserve that I decided to put them into 4 categories: Experience, Music, Beauty and Fashion. Now, the last one turned out rather hefty so I’m going to cover it in a separate video soon, otherwise this post would be never-ending. Plus, it’s always nice to do a little try-on thing, isn’t it. So yeah, that should be on my YouTube channel in just over a week and today we’re going to look into 3 other categories.
The first of the amazing things I got was a week-long trip to Amsterdam which was simply a dream. I head the most wonderful time over there and I’m sure you’ve seen the pictures all over the blog (and Instagram) so in here I’m just going to put the one of Vinnie, my new best friend, straight from the Van Gogh Museum.
Another thing I got is truly mental- a super duper cool card from Alex who listed all those great things one can do in London… and guess what? They are for me to choose from! That will be flipping tough indeed! But, I mean, how sweet and thoughtful of him! It was a wonderful surprise and I can’t wait to start the adventure! And if you’re reading it, my Little Pork Pie, 1) don’t hate me for making your art public 2) I really am truly sorry for being a crap friend who’s never around for a pint or 5, I’ll improve, promise! x
The last one in here is actually a good match for two categories- I got the tickets to Reading Festival, ha! Wasn’t really planning any festivals this year (each year for the past decade I keep telling myself I’m ‘too old for this’) but hey ho with Courteeners and Kings of Leon on the lineup I figured I’d rather get ‘too old’ next year! 😉
One of the most beautiful things I’ve got is this gorgeous vinyl player which was kindly gifted to me by Mum and Dad. I mean, just look at this! Not only it is absolutely stunning with pink and gold details, but also did it make me so happy and nostalgic in a way, with my love for both music and retro stuff and added sentimental value it is just the most perfect gift ever.
And since I got the player, a few kind souls decided to spoil me with records. Now I’m proud to own vinyls by Frank Turner, Oasis and The Beatles and I believe it’s only the beginning of what will soon become a great collection!
The beauty products I got for my birthday are: fiber mascara by SNB and the Advanced Night Repair serum by Estee Lauder. As for the mask, to be honest, I can’t really see what the hype is all about, I don’t find it better than any other less expensive mask and I wouldn’t buy it myself again. Two other products though, are an entirely different story, in fact, I loved them so much that I decided to do a little video with the review which is coming on Sunday so make sure to check it out!
Ok, so these are all of the non-fashion things I got for my birthday that I wanted to share with you, the fashion part is coming soon so make sure to an eye on that too- it will be worth it, I promise! See you soon! xx
