It’s not a secret to anyone that my everyday makeup looks like… no makeup. Not that it’s my preference, I absolutely admire people able to transform someone’s face from average to outstanding using colourful cosmetics, unfortunately I’m not one of them. Honestly, the sad panda in a circuslook is the best I can do (tried it first at the age of five and sadly, never managed to progress!). I guess my advice here would be: if you suck at something, keep it as invisible as possible -so far so good!
Anyway, after this boring introduction I’m going to tell you a few handy (hopefully!) things about one of the natural makeup favourites- Modesty lipstick.
Being one of MAC’s classics, this lipstick is probably the most flattering nude I’ve come across, it will suit anyone. It’s super versatile so if you’re among those lucky guys able to create mesmerising eye makeup, don’t be afraid of overdoing, Modesty goes perfectly with any eyeshadow. If you’re… let’s say, not so gifted (high five!), it won’t do any harm either (yay!). It’s quite a cold, pink-ish shade but it doesn’t make your face look dull and tired like some other pink tones do, it’s really very pretty and subtle.
Well, by now you can probably tell I like it, time for some details:
Packaging: No surprise here, a classic ‘bullet’ containing 3g/01 oz of product.
Pigmentation: It’s a highly-pigmented lipstick, quite buildable, too.
Texture: Creamy and smooth, non-sticky, non-flakey, non-drying, it’s quite matte, if you want some glow simply wear it with transparent lip gloss.
Longevity: Like most lipsticks of this line, Modesty is long-lasting. You’ll be fine for a couple of hours with re-application after meals.
Summary: It’s the most neutral, everyday lipstick- you can’t go wrong with it.
Hope it’s useful, let me know if you have any questions! xxx
