I’ve been looking for a decent nail varnish for quite a while- sounds insane these days, when we’re spoilt for choice, right? Well, what makes it difficult for me is my nail surface is quite narrow so it’s absolutely impossible to paint it with all those thick brushes which are supposed to make the application easy. First world problems, I know!
Normally I’d use Inglot products for doing my nails at home but since I moved I don’t really have any of their stores nearby… and this is when Revlon comes in handy- *yay*! I was suuuper happy to discover their varnishes also have really thin brushes so I didn’t hesitate a second. As I’m really pleased with the product I thought I’d do a short review on it in case somewhere on this planet there’s another person who can’t stand thick nail varnish brushes either 😉 There we go!
I usually use either very dark or neutral colours so with Revlon I decided to go for 570-Vixen which is beautiful dark cherry with plum-ish undertone and 705 Gray Suede which is light, grey-ish/pink-ish beige.
Packaging: Comes in a 0.5 fl.oz. (14.7ml) glass bottle with a long, thin brush which guarantees precise application.
Price: £ 6.5/ each but I got them on a special offer for £4.50 (it’s still on I think).
Texture: The consistency of this varnish is quite runny which I personally like as it allows you to work with the product and makes application easy. It dries quickly which is another advantage but because of the runny texture two coats of the product are needed.
Coverage: Covers perfectly with 2 coats
Lasting: It’s a long-lasting product with a beautiful, shiny finish. It doesn’t chip. My nails grow super fast and I need to redo them at least every 5 days so I’m not able to tell you if the coverage lasts longer, but then again, 5 days is still decent, isn’t it.
Summary: A brilliant high street product which I’m going to repurchase for sure. Can’t really find any cons- sorry!
