Today’s recipe is for all those who need something sweet right now whether it’s for the unexpected guests or simply to satisfy your sweet tooth. I’d had this weird white chocolate mouse craving for so many days that I decided to finally make it- not the healthiest thing on this planet but as you can see, the world didn’t collapse. This mousse has quite a few advantages though: it’s delicious, quick to make and small portions are definitely enough. Shall we give it a go?
To serve 6 you’ll need:
- 200-250ml double cream
- 90 g bar white chocolate
- 200-250g mascarpone cheese
- 400g your favourite berries
Melt the chocolate in a cup put in a bowl of hot water. Whip the cream, gradually fold into mascarpone and cooled chocolate. Place 300g berries into 6 small bowls and add the mixture. Cool for at least 2h. Decorate with the remaining berries.
Tip: I think strawberries is the best fruit choice (go so well with white choc!) although they may not be easy to get at this time of a year- my local supermarket didn’t have any, that’s why I used blueberries for this recipe.
