Torun is the city famous of its gingerbread manufacturing tradition and since anything gingerbread-related sounds good to me, I decided to get some proper education on this front. And for that, there was only one place to go- a museum dedicated to our favourite Christmas biscuits!
Located in the historical centre of the city, the Living Gingerbread Museum is definitely one of the old town’s must-dos. Two floors of the spacious building guarantee so much fun, from learning original, medieval recipes (secret ingredients and unconventional preparation methods included!) to baking your own goodies (beautifully shaped in special wooden moulds). Then, you can also see different machines used in 19th and 20th century and check out how exactly they work. Decorating your own gingerbread is quite a challenge indeed, at the same time is so enjoyable that you should give it a go. Check out the place and book your tickets here– no matter how young you are, you’ll love it!
