It’s a very special weekend for us all, isn’t it? Summer has officially begun!
When we headed off to the family house in the suburbs on Friday afternoon, with a box full of cherries and my favourite summer dress packed, a huge smile appeared on my face.
The plan was to spend two days doing nothing but putting sun cream on my shoulders, greeting neighbours from the swimming pool and getting impossibly tanned and freckled while having meals in the garden. Too good to be true, no?
The next morning kindly reminded me I shouldn’t have put so much trust in the weather and greeted me with grey clouds and drizzle. As my perfect plan somehow didn’t work, what I got instead was jumpers and fluffy socks in front of the telly, eating cashew butter out of the jar.
Actually, it wasn’t bad at all- always nice to catch up with cooking, sit by the fireplace and just take it easy.
Between the showers I even managed to take a few snaps of the garden:
as well as a lonely blow-ball outside:
Now, with my batteries recharged, I’m ready to face another summer day- don’t you dare hide from me, sunshine!
